China is planning to implement strategies to allow it to recycle up to 70% of all its major waste products by 2015. According to an official report published on the Chinese Government’s website, leaders are concerned about the growing amount of waste and its potential effect on the environment.

tyres and metal. A complete collection network will be set up and small and medium businesses as well as individuals will be encouraged to apply for collection work. The government has also proposed that designers and manufacturers should take recycling into account when developing new products.
